Alabama A&M Athletics and Louis Crews Stadium
Alabama A&M University, a historically Black university on Huntsville's north side, competes in NCAA Division I in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The Bulldogs play home football at Louis Crews Stadium, with fall Saturday games and a well-attended homecoming week, and the university fields basketball and other varsity programs. Alabama A&M football adds a college-sports tradition alongside the city's Trash Pandas baseball.
